SITI AISYAH

At a waste management site called the Suwung Landfill, there lives a tenacious small business owner named Siti Aisyah. Siti Aisyah, a client of Gatra Mikro Inisiatif, lives in a rented room with her three children and her husband, who works at a school. She also owns a small laundry business that she started from scratch. Previously, she sold nasi betutu (rice cake) at the school, but due to the impact of COVID-19, her business had to stop. That’s when Siti Aisyah decided to open a laundry business.

With limited initial capital, Siti Aisyah used her sister’s washing machine and started her business in front of her rented room. Initially, she only served a few neighbors and close friends. However, Siti Aisyah never gave up. She always ensured that every piece of clothing was perfectly clean and neatly arranged. Over time, her laundry business began to grow. Thanks to an initial loan from Gatra Mikro Inisiatif, she was able to add another washing machine and introduce a pick-up and delivery service. Eventually, Siti Aisyah’s laundry business became well-known not only in Suwung but also began to attract attention from the surrounding area. This growth not only provided financial stability for Siti Aisyah and her family but also had a positive impact on the local community. Siti Aisyah is proud to see her business continue to grow and receive more and more orders.
