ABOUT US
GatraMikro Initiative is a non-profit organization founded on August 10, 2020, dedicated to empowering low-income communities living in and around landfill areas (TPA). The organization’s primary mission is to expand access to capital and strengthen the business capacity of micro-entrepreneurs who are often excluded from the formal financial system.
As a concrete contribution to poverty reduction and local economic development, GatraMikro Initiative operates a microfinance (microloan) program for small businesses, including scavengers, street vendors, and home-based micro-entrepreneurs. Financing is delivered through a humane and responsible approach, enabling beneficiaries to grow their businesses in a sustainable manner.
Beyond access to capital, GatraMikro Initiative regularly conducts training programs, seminars, and business mentoring to enhance the skills and capacities of both individual and group beneficiaries. These capacity-building activities cover financial literacy, basic business management, leadership, character development, and the cultivation of an entrepreneurial mindset.
Through an integrated approach that combines financial services with human resource development, GatraMikro Initiative is committed to serving as a catalyst for social and economic transformation in marginalized communities, fostering a more independent, productive, and dignified society.
